Born in the Hull region (Québec, Canada), Bruno Jacques Pelletier has been passionate about the guitar since he was 8 years old. Growing up in a family of musicians, he perfected his art by playing regularly during different events. It’s while studying with guitarists Emmanuel Despax and Patrick Roux at the Conservatoire de Musique de Hull (Québec) that he discovered the many subtleties of the classical guitar. He furthered his training with guitarist Robert Latreille who became his mentor for his first solo guitar album, “Le romantisme espagnol”. To this day, this album is still a huge success on many specialized radio stations dedicated to classical music. Radio-Canada’s Galaxie, in particular, has been a staunch supporter and put the album in first place of its “Top 10” instrumental category during the summer of 2006. In 2007, he was named the City of Edmundston’s Ambassador of the Arts, which led him to play during a number of formal events, including for the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.

Bruno Jacques Pelletier has received many grants from the New Brunswick Arts Council and is also actively involved in his community, namely through educational programs like « GénieArts », aimed at increasing children’s interest for the arts. He is also a passionate composer and has written scores for films and many soundtracks. He has received a number of distinctions and nominations for his work as a composer.  Amongst others, he has composed music for the National Film Board of Canada, Rogers Television as well as for the New Brunswick Botanical Garden.  In the summer of 2008, a New Brunswick Arts Council grant helped him perfect his art with renowned lute player Michel Cardin, a specialist of early music. In 2011, he was nominated and won an award for best classical album at the MusicNB Gala.

In 2013, he produced an album of mental visualization for children. This album received a number of recognitions from the provincial Department of Education. Finally, he was nominated as “Educator of the Year 2014” by  Music NB.
